2. Where can I book accommodations? Are there discounted rates for accommodations?
Yes, special hotel rates are now available for Kenya Jurisdiction only. Click on the link to view pre-negotiated daily rates for single, double & triple occupancy. Apartment options are available.
Use promo code AKD2025 when contacting the hotel for pre-negotiated rates to apply. Call or email with mention of the promo code.

3.What if I’ve already booked at full price? Can I still get the discount?
Negotiated rates are only applicable when using the official booking instructions. Jamati members who have booked independently are advised to contact their respective airline or hotel directly.
4. Will transport be provided from the airport or SGR?
Yes, transfers from JKIA and the SGR terminus to the listed hotels and Darkhana Jamatkhana will be available from 22nd to 27th August 2025.
Return transfers to JKIA and the SGR terminus will be available from Darkhana JK and the listed hotels on 27th, 28th, and 29th August 2025.
5. What happens when I arrive at JKIA or SGR?
There will be an Arrivals Desk at JKIA where Jamati members will be received by volunteers and escorted to shuttle buses. These buses will transport them to the Hospitality Hub located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, where they can freshen up before being transferred to their respective hotels or Darkhana JK.
Jamati members arriving via SGR from Mombasa will also be welcomed by volunteers and guided to shuttle buses for transfer to their hotels or Darkhana JK.
6. Will shuttles be available between hotels and the venue?
Yes. Shuttle services between listed hotels and Darkhana Jamatkhana will be available from 22nd to 28th August 2025. Shuttle timings will be communicated and will depend on the event schedule.
7. Is there a place to freshen up or leave luggage if I’m arriving from the airport?
Yes, the Hospitality Hub at Four Points by Sheraton will offer facilities for Jamati members to freshen up and safely store luggage before proceeding to their hotel or venue.
8. How do I book a train ticket?

📝 Registration & Wristbands
1. I haven’t registered — where can I do that?
Currently Data Verification is taking place. All households, including multi-faith families, must update their data by 4 August 2025 as this forms the basis for Didar registration. If your data is not updated you will not be eligible for Didar registration.
Data can be updated physically in-person or online.

Registration for Didar has not opened as of now. When it does open, it will take place in person at Darkhana Jamatkhana, in the designated registration space. Jamati members are required to visit in person.
2. Where do I collect my wristband?
During registration, volunteers will assist Jamati members with putting on an RFID wristband, which should not be removed until the events have concluded. All Jamati members must register in person. Wristbands cannot be collected on behalf of others.
3. Do I need to register in person?
Yes. All Jamati members must register in person. Wristbands cannot be collected on behalf of others.
4. What is General Eligibility Criteria?
Kenya Jurisdiction comprises the countries of Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Burundi, Namibia, Botswana and Eswatini.
Bonafide residents need to meet all of the following criteria:
Have resided in the Jurisdiction countries for a continuous period of six months or more in the last twelve-months;
Have full-time accommodation available to them during the period of residency, evidenced by house ownership, rental agreement and payment of property tax or utility bills;
Are permanent resident holding a valid identification documentation (passport or ID card) issued by the Jurisdiction country governments or possess a valid resident, work, investor or student permits or dependent pass;
Are registered under the Kenya Jurisdiction Jamati database;
Have not emigrated to another non-Jurisdiction country in the recent past and are now included as part of the Jamati database of that non-Jurisdiction country; and
Are tax residents filing individual tax returns with the tax authorities in the Jurisdiction.
Residency in the Kenya Jurisdiction is not contingent upon only having citizenship or possession of government-issued identification unless all of the above criteria are fully achieved.
